Is Indy tics sold out?
Flip threw channels and NASCAR looks like lots.of open seats
Don’t know if it’s sold out or not, but the last several years I’ve gone there isn’t much room. The first year I went to the 500 was in 97 which was just a few years after the split. Plenty of room to stretch out and move to different seats if you wanted to. It was kinda depressing. My first 400 was in 98 and it was a packed house and miserably hot and humid in August. I’ve sat through some cloudless hot 500s though too. Indy is a horrible track for stock cars. I went to 3 Brickyard 400s and I’m not surprised they did away with it. After the hype wore off after the first few years, the stock cars just didn’t put on a very good show.
Indy 500 isn’t Nascar. Nascar is in trouble as far as fans go. Open wheel not so much now. Grandstands and infield have been full for the 500 again for several years. |
