| The difference this time around is no one is talking face to face like Trump did. Maybe Trump was pretty good at it, but the real "magic" is showing up face to face (even Reagan did that). The current group is a bunch of cowards making threats from podiums and sending arms - all to avoid talking directly maybe? I'm sure the folks selling arms are cheering on this strategy.
The debt ceiling is no different. They certainly could find places to cut spending but that's difficult when that money buys votes (I guess it always does, but it's far worse now). | |
