I wonder how much in debt other countries are compared to U.S. per capita? Both parties are to blame but D's are far ahead. Can anybody get us term limits? Incumbents rule the roost because of money and name recognition. Too many people vote who know nothing about the people they vote for.

The US national debt per capita is $76,000. More than Canada at $55,000 and double the lowest in the G7. National debt as a percentage of GDP isn't as bad as Italy and Japan, and in the range of the rest of the G7. Annual deficit for the US is WAY higher than the rest of the G7 as a percentage of the budget. I looked up the G7 because any other countries would be poorer and not as good a comparison, that is, they would never be allowed to run up these kinds of debts. Australia and NZ have per capita in the low end for Aus an half the low end for NZ. Similar percent of GDP and annual deficit.
