S Illinois | Is that % of plant available or % of field capacity? Anecdotally and based upon local conditions in S IL it would seem the map shows % field capacity. If that’s the case then being this early in the growing season it’s detrimental to be in the blue. Anything that restricts root growth early on means a crop less adept to handle dry weather later and more rain to each yield goals. | |
