East Central South Dakota | Or will it be a non-event. End of May and first part of June are historically wet and subsoil building. Statistically it gets hard to build soil moisture after June. Summer rains can happen, but you have to be cognizant of the odds and facts. Do you want to be heavy short if these maps continue like this one today. Place your bets. Probably don't bet with both new and old crop. You only have one ass to ride one horse.
EDIT--- we have to have extreme heat with these moisture maps to get the markets attention and to do serious damage. Will we see the growing season trend by June 15ish ? ?
