| Did you know you can put unwashed strawberries in a glass canning jar with the lid on and put them in the refrigerator and they will last up to three weeks? With having my MIL's funeral last week, I needed to buy groceries for those staying at our house. The strawberries at the store looked good, so bought a few quarts middle of the week. Well, normally they would be not so nice by the weekend. But they were very good, looked like the day I bought them. Had another jar I opened up a few days later and again, just fine. I will be trying this soon with some home grown strawberries in my little garden, if they make it out of the garden. Works best with a wide mouth jar. Just thought I would pass this information along.
