Wisconsin | I was talking about the cob. The cob is not digestible by chickens, might as well feed them straw in the mix. If you can shell it, they'll do fine whether it's whole, cracked or ground, if it's whole or on the cob they'll need grit. I'd think even coarse ground cob would end up wasting a lot of feed, or efficiency if they did eat it.
Now if you're talking feed efficiency, then it should be ground fine I believe, and absolutely no cob, and no grazing either. | |
