Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

notillmc - 5/19/2023 13:53 On Mother’s Day evening, my cousins husband was tragically killed when a reckless driver ran into a boat that he was working on. He died pretty much instantly. He was a 20+ year veteran of law enforcement, although he was off duty when he passed. The service was today in Amarillo and the church was filled with law enforcement from several different organizations. At the end of the service , they had the dispatcher come on the radio and sign him off for the final time as well as the bagpipes playing amazing grace. Quite a moving tribute and not a dry eye in the church.

That last call on the radio is an emotional killer for me.  Whether it's a retirement call off or a death, it's heartbreaking. Deepest sympathy to your family in the terrible loss
