I've used something very similar from Ag Leader to control 12v pumps. If you can get into a control valve settings, probably close to where you select PWM close (we select PWM 12v), look for something called PWM GAIN, that number is how fast the controller will make the pump react. For the Ag Leader DC Motor driver the gain setting is 18,000-20,000, which is much higher for most PWM systems default settings.
