Subject: JD Rate Controller and MicroTrak EMD - valve cal?

Binbrook, Ontario
Running liquid side band on my planter using 12v pump controlled by an electronic motor drive (EMD) by microtrak. Setup as PWM close in rate controller, set the default values for everything else and it works (flow meter, section valves etc).

Issue I am having is with it being very tardy to get up to the right flow. If I plug 12v into the pump directly it IMMEDIATELY shoots to 45psi and full flow. It’s not the pump, seems to be the controller or the settings in the JD rate controller. Called microtrak and they suggested a few settings. Seems that the Valve Cal setting effects it the most and can change how it works. Anybody out there running a similar system and have any suggestions?

( this rate controller replaces the old raven 440 that I have been using for years, and this setup works fine on it. Just trying to modernize and get section control and some ability to record my passes)

Cheers
