| If one wanted to be astute you could manage the account closely and move excess margins to interest bearing accounts daily. That takes a considerable amount of time and attention. Definitely don’t want to go spend excess margin money as you may need liquid cash to put back in. I tend to leave it in until grain is physically sold. That’s assuming I haven’t had to deposit margin money if the market moves against my positions. | |
