I have used SMS to do it, but a lot of our customers have the AgLeader in there for autosteer already and just map the varieties on the agleader at the same time as the 2020. That way, they are already in there for harvest
Yes, if the Ag Leader is already present in the planting tractor for steering then one could just create a bare bones planting configuration in the Ag Leader without the need for any additional modules, wiring or switches.
The operator would need to make the variety change in both the 20/20 and the Ag Leader when planting. This means both devices would be making a variety map of their own. Making the variety change in the Ag Leader would be very easy.
Whether one method is easier than the other is a judgement call on how and if you use SMS anyway and other factors.
