Subject: RE: Clover and Sheep fertility

Can't speak to sheep, but my cows ate alot of alfalfa last summer due to somewhat dry conditions and I have never had as man y cows freshen as quickly as this year, out of 65 or so total we have only 7 left after the first 6 weeks, and there were a fair number of them that we gained time on from last year, but 12 of them were heifers and they were on mostly grass pasture, also two of the 7 are heifers. Noticed last year already the one bull is really good about taking care of "business" probably best one I have had in that deprtment since we started this enterprise in 04. If it were cows I would not even think about it, sheep I am not familiar with.

UPDATE: 2 more of my 7 (one of the heifers) calved tonight, 2 more sets of twins for a total of 6 sets.
