Subject: RE: Northern corn question

Moderators can we please delete/and/or move minnesota prevent plant discussions to a different forum? Every year its the same "ah jeesh maybe we git da digger dug outta da snow bank by june" then the corn and soy in minnesota magically all gets in by mid to late may. Anyone who wants to have this discussion please go look at NASS county yields from last year. Same long winded discussions about minnesota pp a year ago. This minnesota pp noise and chatter gets louder every year and is not marketing related at this point. Im not sure why,in an area that has been farmed for close to 150 years, we havent figured out when things "normally" get planted in that area....i just have this feeling that the normal planting window is and will always be a few weeks behind the I states. Hybrids, management practices and infrastructure in MN has largely accounted for that. Lets all make a point to stop running to agtalk to start the MN pp discussion every year once our planters gets folded up. its not gonna move the market and those humble minnesotans arent going to give you a straight answer anyways..
