Eastern Half of Kansas | Or maybe it just shows that the demand for local processing got artificially high during Covid, and is now returning to more of a "normal"?
I would guess this is some of it. Also with meat getting more expensive, I’m going to guess people aren’t forking out money for quarters and halves. We have other business non ag related, it’s things people don’t have to have, last 2 months have been really slow, makes you really wondered where we’re headed and if people have any money in the it pocket at moment.
I have a couple friends selling quarters halves whole and also approved to sell individual cuts, I haven’t talked to them what it’s like this spring and last year coming out of covid. | |
