NASS has Kansas wheat production at 6.6 million harvested acres from 8.1 million planted or 19.6% abandonment.. x yield of 29 bushels.. for a crop of 191.4 million bushels.. the lowest since 1963.

Neighbors to my south are going to abandoned a lot of acres.. upwards of 40..50..60% and the rains came too late.. appraisals here are running from 0 to highest I’ve heard was 21.. but we may be in the worst part the south central district.. but also the highest planted acreage.
my guess.. statewide.. 8.1 planted x 67% harvested x 27 bu = 146 million bushels. |
