| Been doing over 50 years, yes I started young. First consideration is the equipment, chute, lots, gates, and being able to get them in. Next consideration is heat detecting and the many schemes for that. Then determine who can do the work, their schedule, costs. Have always done my own as well as some others. My tank allows me to buy semen from my choice. Consider the costs/options, and trouble of keeping one or in your case more bulls that you might only need a few days. What if you wish to retain heifers? Get your pencil out, fire up the computer, and study. | |
