I wanted to see what the AgTalk opinion is before I talk to my contractor tomorrow. I've never had any concrete poured before and want to see what my expectations should be. I think I'm a bit of a perfectionist and it's going to drive me crazy on this house.
The basement floor was poured this past Tuesday, Friday I was checking it out and found a crack, it looks like a corner settled, I'm guessing it was not compacted well enough before pouring, this corner the slab does not sit on the footer.
What should I expect them to do about it? Is it unreasonable to expect no cracks in a new slab?
Also I have questions about what I should expect for flatness of the floor, it rained yesterday and today you can see all kinds of places the water puddled, some you can feel when walking on them. I'm trying to get good pictures of everything but it's hard to capture.
Looks fine. Your completely unreasonable. |
