Iceman56 - 5/15/2023 06:34  That's much easier said than done. Some hybrids tend to throw certain size seed more often. Also should note when the seed is delivered too. Don't expect pick of the litter if you take seed 3 days before planting.




Some seed companies are TERRIBLE at sorting and sizing seed.

We had some this spring that honestly made you wonder if they did any seed sorting at all or even owned equipment to do it.    Looked like everything that came off the cob went in the bag; everything from small rounds, small flats, medium flats, big flats to big rounds was all in the same bag.

That all came out of one bag? Wow… someone else had just posted something similar on AgTwitter and actually dug up the seeds and could tell a visual difference in emergence… ridiculously these seed companies can’t do any better then that for what they’re getting paid
