Make sure the willow is WAY away from your septic system.
They grow fast, Ill give ya that. Dont be afraid to prune limbs anytime you think you need to. We had one that we cut practically the whole top out of(wind damage), never fazed it. Just regrew and filled in.
Ive heard they will root from putting the yellow whips in the ground in EARLY spring, and keeping them damp or wet.
