I really like that blend. We have a local IGA with a meat department that will grind some that way. Can't remember if it is 50-50 but for some reason 70-30 sticks in my mind. Since pork is so cheap compared to beef I would guess 70-30.
My wife sometimes mixes it at home from ground pork and ground beef. The problem is it is hard to get it really well mixed without running it through a grinder. When she mixes it by hand it looks more like a marble cake consistency. Still tastes good that way but not a very pretty patty because the two meats are enough color difference you can see what you are eating with each bite. :-) |
