I decided to try garlic instead of igr this year for fly control (got some really dead soil biology on this ranch). I bought some bulk ground garlic yesterday and THEN I started reading the negative reviews. Sounds like marginal fly control at best from 2/3 of folks that have done it.
So , is there anything available for fly control that doesn’t harm the dung beetles and allows the good soil microorganisms to work? I meant, Building tree swallow bird houses seems cheap enough but but really?
A very sharp friend of mine told me of a natural product called “nemesis” , but I can’t find it anywhere, and he just said he tried it, he didn’t say it worked,
This is the 3rd year I’ve been off of ivermectin, was hoping things would start to improve in the soil by now, but I have still been putting igr in the salt for fly control, and I know that’s not doing me any favors,
