You specifically asked about locally owned businesses. I don’t think I’ve ever asked for a discount at one but to be fair, I can’t think of any that even offer one.
I do ask for the discount at Smash burger the 2 times a year I might eat there. I know once years ago the wife and I went out for dinner to a BWW on Veterans Day and I got a discount, free drink maybe, I don’t remember.
Basically, no, I don’t go looking for discounts. If they have signs up and are adverting it, yeah I have. I don’t think I’ve ever gone anywhere just because they offer a discount. | |
