East of Broken Bow
Just before Covid hit, my wife and I built a chickenhouse for our kids' chickens, made it bigger than necessary, and put in a divider for their rabbits, as well. The divider was nothing special, just a straight 2X4 wall with 2' stud spacing, and 1/4" plywood. No insulation, home-made doors out of marine plywood braced with boards so it wouldn't warp, and a couple $50 windows for ventilation. No insuation, tin roof, masonite siding. Bought just the materials, did all the labor ourselves. About 1/3 of the 2X4s in the walls were reclaimed lumber from an old barn, counted their cost as zero.
When it was all said and done, we bought a one-trip shipping container of almost exactly the same square footage for about the same money. Granted, the shed we built is more 'square' and the shipping container is long and skinny by comparison, but if we would have built that as a storage shed, our money would have been better spent on the shipping container. This was pre-covid prices for both the container, and the materials for the shed.
IMO, if you want storage, get a decent shipping container, unless you really want the looks of a shed.
