Champaign, IL | It is about July weather, but June gets you to July. Here is a picture of our barnyard last June 21. The old chicken house shows up clearly. Hadn’t seen it for years, actually, I didn’t know that the foundation was still there. We measured it, seemed big when I was 5, gathering eggs. Corn was just going in to elongation, before tassel. Hurt my yields. My average yield was less than the county average. First time ever.
