A lot of people have had inaccurate thermometers. Most do not seem to be able to be calibrated as they used to. I do not believe an accurate thermometer is a selling point with any grill or oven. I think most want you buying an aftermarket one. I got lucky and my Weber has a fairly accurate one. My last 2 grills they were way off as is the one in my oven.
