I always use the heavier black poly pipe and then transition to the waterer with a piece of Sioux Cheif nylon hose with the cord in it on barbed fittings. Also like to run a 8 or 10 inch single wall culvert from the earth tube curved out well past the edge of the slab in case ever need to replace either the wire or the pipe.
