Subject: RE: Iowa Commercial DOT and Highway patrol combining?

It has been along time ago ( like 15 years or so) but the troopers were supposed to start doing inspections.
I got inspected by a Trooper and written up for a defective tire. It had rock chips in it but still had 28/32nds tread in the bad spot.
The trooper at that time told me they were supposed to start Truck enforcement.
I assume it was to keep other states happy by having so many DOT officers. Kind of like calling rest areas scales.
Part of being in IFTA and IRP. Yeas, California ( and others) laws in other states.
