You’re completely right. The transition from food security being #1 priority in the gov has slowly shifted. Within the next ten years I feel we will see a gov looking at ag as an energy and eco friendly source rather than food focused. What that will do is create a more direct to market or just in time inventory supply structure for ag. I feel this creates an infrastructure where gov can dictate what we plant and what we do. Sad part is the reliance of gov funds is tied so tightly in ag that unless you take them you cannot be profitable. Like it or not this means in the future we may be planting more eco friendly alternatives like carbon crops then we will for for production.
