Yes 8850 most corn was planted late may last year. It was a 1 out of 100 or maybe 1,000 yr up here last year. We see wet corn lots of years planting 1st week of May. I would say we had way better odds of a disaster last year than a good crop but we got very lucky. I love your positivity tho!!
