My question is how do you know what they will yield?
My experience has been that the type of summer determines which variety will yield the best.
If I knew one variety would yield 100 bu less than another one, I would never plant the lower yielding variety.
I’ve been raised to try and maximize yield, not try to farm the insurance program.
