The dealer would have gotten support amounting to his profit margin on the production above and beyond what the farmer would have afforded without the subsidy. So little when it comes down to it. The farmer gets the bulk.

Hey progress! You just admitted the dealer got a subsidy. It could easily be 5k more in the first scenario over the second scenerio. So he gets two more tractors in to scratch the itch of the other two farmers and 3 more to have on the lot in case other guys want to buy. This happens all over farm country and deere has to start ramping up tractor production and also raise the list price a bit. The deere factory workers see deere having a good year so why not threaten a strike and get higher wages? Deere scratches their itch because they don't want to miss out on this profitable time. Who is actually getting the subsidy? The deere factory worker reads the paper about the new farm bill and is pissed off he doesn't get a subsidy.Well, yes he did. And the farmer bought a bigger disk from a dealer down the road made by a shortline manufacter and the same thing happens at their factory and the employees go out and buy boats and campers since they got a raise. Boats and campers get more expensive and their workers want a raise. Besides the tractor and disk the farmer orders new gauge wheels and aftermarket closing wheels from Shoup and not only Shoup has more profit but the vendors they buy from go through a growth faze and a price hike so the other farmers with subsidies pay more for the next set of parts but all the people in the supply chain got a raise.

Who got the subsidy? Who gets all the blame for the subsidy? Please, please stop the subsidies because some can't stand the inflation it brings but they also can't survive the short term without accepting them. Kind of like trapping those on direct wefare for their grocery money. They become trapped. Government welfare is not a hand up. It is a trap that holds the recipients in bondage. It is not caring or positive in any way.

Farmer subsidies cause inflation that directly makes farming more expensive. Some subsidy huh. Not any different than the covid check consumers were so excited about. They are paying that 'gift' back daily and don't even know it.
