| Inflation can create wealth. You don't just take that dollar you earn and put it in a mattress. You shouldn't be overly invested in depreciating assets even if they are tax deductible. many classes of assets will beat inflation, it's not that hard. Periods of high inflation are normal in history as war, disease, bad government policy (whether ours or others), supply/demand, can all impact markets Careful real estate investment, many categories of the stock market, etc, make profits because of inflation. Zero inflation can also cripple an economy. IMO | |
