Locally corn is going in a fast pace, not as many planters as years back, less farmers, but the planters are bigger as a whole.
I would guess my counties corn will be 80% planted before this weekend’s “rain”. I hope to be done. Nothing is getting mudded in and everything is landing in moisture. (Anything that is mudded in is due to farmers that have little to no tile)
Perfect planting conditions.
On the flip side, absolutely no sub soil moisture. My tile that runs till the middle of august on a “normal” year is but a trickle.
How’s your planting going?
straight from minnesota where a week or two ago the snow banks were so deep there was no way anything would get planted for 6 more weeks, another year and the same old. |
