Subject: RE: Western Cornbelt drought

Indiana

In north central Indiana a lot of corn got planted last week then we got cold rain on Friday. Right now ground is saturated and air temp is 41 degrees. I think suppose to get down to mid lower 30’s tonight. Some of this corn may have taken in some cold moisture during germination. Suppose to warm up by end of week.

My contractor said he was in ft loramie OH last week and moisture top 6 inches and dry down to 9 ft. I didn’t realize we were that dry. I don’t think we are here in Indiana.
