Subject: “Hey I see those same trend lines.”

It’d just be nice to see one person say, hey, I see those same trend lines, instead of six different accounts trying to gaslight me.

And idk where it’s going. I’d hate to make a call and be wrong. Gonna let my ego ride this call for a minute. But as I was watching price action on Friday it seemed like a no brainer to get long corn and get short soy. But I’ve been wrong before and don’t advocate for gambling

I’m not poo pooing technicals.. at my heart I’m a fundamentals driven marketer.. what factors are going to impact markets?

Brazil’s record soybean and Safrina corn (2nd crop) which the bean crop is hitting the markets now.. having to make room for an expected record corn crop.

So that’s the big picture mega trends..

Flip side to that has been the now mature US ethanol boom and possibly bio fuels.. renewable diesel et all boom.

However, I believe technicals (charts) drive the short term and the markets reaction to known fundamentals.. for example the funds have bought into commodities to hedge against inflation.. now that the Fed has raised interest rates risking a recession.. coupled with China turning to Brazil.. is the air coming out of the ballon?

From your work.. “apparently so.”

now what?

Shocks to the system.. Chernobyl in the 1980s
Ukraine’s invasion by Russia
Etc..
are by definition unknowable and can happen at any time.

Powell’s resolve to kill raising prices though appears to be working.

Good luck.
