Midwest | hinfarm - 4/29/2023 09:21 Our old computer did an update last winter and when it did that it messed up my SMS program. We got a new computer since the old one was getting up there in age anyway and now, I am trying to get the data from the backup file into the SMS program that has nothing in it at the moment. How do I do that? I figured I'd try here before calling Ag Leader on Monday.
You need to open SMS on the new computer and have the same version number that you had on the old one, or the next version newer. You can't make a big jump up in version between the 2 computers.
Then copy that backup file (somethingsomething.back) is the file name to the new computer somewhere in the Ag Leader folders in Documents preferably. Once it's on the new computer, inside of SMS go to Services - Backup/Restore and you want to restore. Navigate to where your backup file is at and it'll bring it in. This may take a while depending on how much stuff is in there and over how many years. |
