One way you can check. There is a page on the 2630 where the GPS diagnostics information is. It has the lat. lon. positions and other information. The GPS time is one line of information. If there is any information on that page, you're close. When mine wasn't right, the time would be stationary for maybe 10 seconds or so. It wouldn't count up every second like you would expect.
