Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | First off, does this Insight have the Auto Steer unlock? For a while, an unlock was available from Ag Leader to allow an Insight to work with Trimble's Nav II. I had one and it worked well with the Trimble.
Later the unlock program was discontinued.
Those Insights that had the unlock do continue to work. Those without the unlock will not work with a Trimble Nav. Other Steering options are available.
One of the screens on the Insight will show which unlocks if any which that particular Insight has unlocked. Steering, Auto Swath, Multi-product and others were possibilities.
So if that Insight does not have the auto steer unlock, the Trimble Nav idea is out. If it does have the auto steer unlock then the Nav may need to be reflashed.
I believe there were some other areas of confusion when using a 372. I had an Insight with auto steer unlock, Nav II and a Trimble 332 which worked well. My 332 used the Omnistar correction but could work on WAAS as well.
