I have the original Steer Command in two tractors and a momentary switch can be used to engage them. These tractors are using an external steering valve and not the tractors CAN system.
My planting tractor (Deere 8310R) uses a Steer Command Z2 through Deere's CAN and must use the Deere engage switch on the Command Arm.
Previously this tractor used a Steer Command non Z2 through CAN and also used the Deere engage switch on the Command Arm.
I have Steady Steer assisted Steering and it can use an adapter cable to go to a momentary switch. The switch can be setup for engage only, disengage only or both engage and disengage. |
