Odds might be a little better than in past years??

Double yolks typically come from young hens. 2022 was the worst Avian bird flu outbreak in history, there are quite a few barns across the U.S. that have been recently repopulated.

I thought a hen usually only lasted 8 to 10 months anyhow?
but then all I really know about chickens is that I like their eggs and I like them fried and fricasseed and boiled and a few other ways like that. last chicken left the farm when I was about eight.
