Fine line to walk. I dealt with this a few years ago.

I have an over-achiever daughter also. She is always busy. I am amazed at the amount of people that ask about her because they heard from a friend or somebody that she is a great worker. Since she isn’t employed anywhere in town, they think she is sitting around. Then in the next sentence they have some menial job that they would love to have her come do for $12/hr. I tell them that for $12/hr I will send my 10 year old instead and their face puckers right up.

My daughter is an adult and out in the world now. She is totally astonished by the amount of people her age that don’t know how to cook, clean, or even drive.

Make sure you deal with people that value the work she does. Some think since they are kids and female, that they aren’t in demand. Like me I am sure you got plenty to do around home. Experience is only worth something if it is rewarding.
