With the cable you have from ag express: did it actually power up the vector pro? Did the indicator light on back of vector pro start blinking? Did you connect to A or B?

Also…..that cable you have from Ag Express was initially designed to connect to 252/262/372 to a Pro 700 via CAN-B. Anytime I connect a gps with that cable to pro 700 I have to manually change a setting in the pro 700 for the gps source. Until the source is changed the pro 700 will not “see” any gps. What is the GPS source set to on your pro 700?

See attached pic for pinout. This winter I was able to manually wire a vector pro and connect to a laptop and use Lefebure Novatel PC program. I powered the unit via Port A. I connected via 9 pin serial using Port B. I connected my laptop using a USB to serial adapter. I think I could also power via port B based on the diagram, but honestly I never tried.

I’m guessing the vector pro is new enough that the pro 700 does not have programming to recognize what it is. The pro 700 will likely treat the vector pro as a 3rd party gps. I’m guessing if you need to change NMEA strings, the pro 700 will not be able to do it.
