We use a little no-salt occasionally for the potassium. The one we buy is potassium chloride. Basically food grade fertilizer.

It is not a replacement of sodium needs in a diet, but I have read that many people are low in potassium and may be helpful in that respect. You can overdose on it, but it takes quite a lot. Makes the heart do bad things if a person gets overdosed.

Not advisable to go eating spoon fulls of potash fertilizer while at the blending plant, LOL.

As with so many things, the dose makes the poision. Because a little is good doesn't mean a lot is better. For some reason spinach smoothies come to mind.................... :-)
