| Years ago, I started reducing the salt in my diet. When cooking, if a recipe called for salt, I automatically reduced the amount used by half. Instead, I use quite a bit of black pepper and garlic powder in my cooking. For example, I make eggs for breakfast. I top with black pepper and garlic powder, instead of salt and pepper. As DRester suggested, if I eat out, food that has "normal" amounts of salt seem too salty to me. |
