Subject: RE: Highway 287 in Wyoming

WC IL
Went across Wyoming on I80 more times than I could count 35 years ago when I was driving a truck over the road for a few years. I know what you mean about 20-30 mph winds being a calm day! I told my bride back then that Wyoming was the only state I had been in where it seemed like the wind was blowing from all 4 points of the compass at the same time, always seemed to be running into a headwind. I also told her that Wyoming seems to have 2 seasons, winter and August.
Looks like the trip is probably going to happen, she booked a B&B in Island Park, Idaho yesterday. Going to play it by ear the rest of the trip, stop when we feel like it. Our traveling companion wants to hit Rushmore while we are out that way, we have been there twice with our kids but I will gladly go again. Will be our first real vacation in about 20 years. Going to make use of the lifetime senior National Parks pass the bride got.
Next on the list are Alaska and Hawaii.
