RR Valley, ND; MN native | When I was growing up (and even after), my Mom was a early riser.
She'd be up before the crack and start coffee, turn on the radio, and then do the dishes in the sink from the night before. Lots of banging and crashing of pots and pans putting those away, ha.
We lived in a small place so no avoiding the ruckus.
Folks bedroom was the farthest from the kitchen and I think even dad would have preferred some peace before having to get up and dressed for morning chores.
