Valley, NE | My kids (16, 12, 10) are just terrible about getting up in the morning, it doesn't matter if it's for church, school, sports, or anything. I've tried just about everything, setting blaring alarms, yelling, cold water surprise, frozen marbles, and most recently, I've just left them to their own, but the school calls at 9:00 wondering where my kids are. I'm at my wits end with it. they go to sleep at a decent hour with minimal screen time prior to bed and no screens in bed, so its not a matter of not getting enough sleep.
I have never in my life ever been unmotivated to start my day at any age, so i obviously cannot relate to them or figure out how to motivate them to get up and get going. any ideas? | |
