Subject: RE: Quad auto steer issue

North Dakota
Early versions of 31.XX had a problem with the usb memory file size and it would slow down when the field would get too large. It was most notable with task control running when going around a curve. It would look like the tractor was 50-100 feet behind where you actually were. By 31.36 most of the task control issues were cleared up. I'm not sure if it was the 700 software or the Nav software that matched the 700, but doing a clean install of all the software seems to take care of the problem.

A clean install starts the 700 with no settings (default) so you will have to re-calibrate the steering and enter all your settings. Easiest is to take pictures of all your screens and set it up that way. You can try to just clear your usb but that seems to be temporary.

The task control changed at 31.20 something. Made it easier to start and stop task control and the way you set up Grower, Farm, Field. There have been some more improvements since. Current version of 700 is 35.2 for large tractor and 10. something for the NAV.

One other issue that we have seen is the steering valve starts to get "sticky" and will not steer the tractor back onto the line. The tractor on the screen will just kind of wander off line, if you disengage and reengage the steering it will sometimes jerk back to the line and steer again for a while.
