Maybe they didn't work for you. Did you have to try them??

My wife was prescribed prosthetic braces for her knees 6 years ago, at the age of 59. The cartilage on the outsides of her knees was surgically removed when she was 14 and 15. The remaining cartilage is wearing out, naturally, so her legs are starting to be "knock-kneed".
She will have to have her knees replaced, but the orthopedic surgeon in Rochester Mayo Clinic won't do the replacements until she delays it for as long as possible, by using the prosthetic braces. The braces dramatically reduces the pain for her, and most of the time they totally eliminate the pain.
